Back from San Diego

I’m back from my trip, I actually just landed a couple of hours ago. It was wonderful, expensive, gloomy some days and sunny for one. I have a million stories to tell but right now I’m exhausted. I don’t know if I will be able to until the end of this week because my little brother is in town and staying with me until Thursday. Hopefully I don’t forget too much.

I also have a thousand pictures which should be on facebook shortly.

Only a month to go

San Diego trip is a month away and I have yet to get a dress. I haven’t even looked for one…I feel like I need to get in shape too, even though I probably am in great shape, I wear a size 4. I don’t know why this is bothering me right now but it is.

I’m a little worried, as both my boyfriend and I have had car problems and it’s going to put a real damper on our vacation funds.

Found a hotel

I finally found a hotel for out trip. It’s in hotel circle and is 2 miles from the airport, 5 miles from downtown San Diego and 15 miles from the wedding. It’s conveniently located right next to the highway so we can jump on that to get almost anywhere we need to go. 

Now that we have the plane tickets and the hotel out of the way:

• Still need to find a dress to wear and shoes to go with it and I also want some new clothes to wear there
• Also need to figure out what we want to do in San Diego for our one free day (besides go to the zoo)
• Chris needs to get fitted for his tux (he’s one of the groomsmen)
• Need to rent a car

That’s all I can really think of for now. I’m SO excited about this trip, it will be nice to get out of Ohio, even if it is just for a few days.

San Diego here we come! – in 2 months

I’m going to San Diego in June for my boyfriends sister’s wedding. We are having the HARDEST time trying to find a hotel. We had no problem finding airplane tickets and we actually got those pretty cheap (only $240 each).  But hotel prices are so high, I understand that this is San Diego and the prices are going to be steep, but really? I mean, who goes to San Diego in the summer? Don’t people leave San Diego to go to other places? I really don’t know.

Anyways while I’m on the topic of San Diego, we are only going to be there for 5 days, two of those days will be consumed with rehearsal/wedding stuff. And I’m counting the days we arrive and leave, so really only 3 ½ days, which just gives us Sunday to really hang out in San Diego.

I HAVE to go to the San Diego Zoo, I hear it’s one of the best in the world and as an animal lover that is not an experience I want to miss out on. Other than that, I have no idea what we should do. People keep suggesting different things, such as walk around the historic district, or check out the zoos. Like I said, we have a limited time down there and I really want to make the most of it. So this will require further research and opinions and advice from people who have been there I suppose.
