Big words and podcasts!

Just to extrapolate (my big word for the day) on a previous blog that I wrote, about making this whole excel wordsheet and saving all my passwords and usernames. of course, OF COURSE, I didn’t save the one for the blog. How very much like me to write a blog about doing just that yet not even save the info for the very blog website. I’m over it.

I just discovered podcasts, through my boyfriends father, who I now love very dearly for turning me on to them. They are addicting. I downloaded more than 200 in one day, I just played on itunes for 5 hours on Sunday checking out different podcasts to download. I’ve heard of them before but never really thought to check them out. They have video and audio ones out there on pretty much anything you can think of. YES I have all of Shark Week on my ipod. LOVE IT. Best thing…they are free.

I have finally finished a couple of things that I’ve been meaning to do for awhile.

First I completely cleaned out my e-mail accounts of which I have three of (why? I don’t know).  But I got rid of old e-mails that I didn’t need, my hotmail went from 11 pages to 3. I made folders for e-mails that I wanted to save; personal e-mails, website registrations, and miscellaneous. I also set up filters so that messages from certain people or websites would go into their own folders. It’s surprising how good it feels just to have a clutter free inbox.

Second I made an excel spreadsheet that I could log passwords/e-mails/usernames of all the websites I use. I don’t know about other people but I constantly have to get passwords e-mailed to me because I forget my username or password, and it gets annoying. I know it would be easier to use the same username or password for everything but after an ex of mine found out my password and deleted accounts of mine or just generally messed with them I’ve been a little paranoid. I use different passwords for almost all of my accounts and there really is no feasible way I could remember all of them.  My spreadsheet is also password protected with its own unique password that I don’t use for anything else.  This really has been a big help to me already and I’ve used it quite a few times.

Next on my to do list: organize my photos, figure out itunes and set up all my music on there w/album art, do the same with all my documents.

I’m a little anal and I like everything to be extremely organized, I don’t feel complete until it is.
